Revolution Arts heads to South East Asia for music workshops
Revolution Arts is heading to South East Asia for a series of face to face workshops, adjudications and activities supporting teachers, students and music schools across the region over the next few months.
Starting in East Malaysia on 23 October, Nicholas Keyworth, Director of Revolution Arts, joins the adjudication panel for the 8th Borneo Young Performers’ Festival at Kota Kinabalu.
This heralds the start of a series of Improvisation workshops in Sabah and Sarawak. Entitled New Approaches to Improvisation for 2017, these will focus on developing effective teaching strategies for improvisation and, in particular, to support teachers as they prepare their students for Trinity College London’s revised 2017 Improvisation tests.
From there it’s on to Singapore and some exciting work in musical theatre before heading up to Malaysia and then Bangkok, Thailand for a range of teacher and student support activities designed to improve skills knowledge and understanding of what it takes to ensure effective preparation for music exams.
